Experienced Diamond Drillers &amp Helpers Smithers, British Columbia Minimum Education: Technical TrainingPositions Available: (5) Driller-1, (8) Driller-2NOC Group: Drillers and Blasters -Surface Mining, Quarrying and Construction (7372)NOC Job Title: Driller - Surface Mining Requirements: Standard First Aid with CPR C and Transportation Endorsement, or equivalent Minimum 2 years experience operating a U5 drill and Hydracore drill Minimum 2 years experience operating directional drill tooling, such as Devico or Mud Motor Drug testing may be required for certain contracts and may be requested by the Company at anytime Driller (Driller-1) duties include: Set up and operate drill Manual material handling Recover core as required by clients Daily inspections for safe work and maintenance and repair requirements Make decisions on down hole drilling circumstances Communicate with Foremen and Geologists regularly Supervise, guide, and ensure the safe and efficient performance of the Driller-2 Ensure safety and organization of drill sites Drillers Helper (Driller-2) duties include: Assist Driller-1 in the recovery of core and drilling activities Manual material handling Layout and maintain waterline Maintain and fuel equipment Various drill support and other activities Communicate with Driller-1 and Foreman regularly Ensure safety and organization of drill sites Successful applicants who are fluent in Spanish may be considered for short term work in other countries.
